The extension recognises far more postings — and takes the ones we miss

Open a job page with the freehire panel and it tells you how you match. To do that it has to know which posting you are looking at. Until now it could only work that out for Greenhouse links: every other site fell back to reading the page and matching its text — a card with the site’s name where the company should be, and a match score built from whatever the page happened to say. On some pages that came out as “This page — 0%”, for a vacancy that was in our catalogue the whole time.

Now the page is matched by its own address. Every posting we carry stores the link it was found at, so the panel compares the page you are on against that — tracking parameters, www., and trailing slashes ignored. Aggregator postings and the large ATS boards (Ashby, Lever, Workable, BambooHR, iCIMS, Recruitee, SmartRecruiters, Workday and the rest) are now recognised as the postings they are, and you get the real card: the company, the skills you have, the ones you are missing.

And when we really do not have it, you can give it to us. A page freehire does not carry now offers Add to freehire. We read the posting and add it to the catalogue on the spot — the card appears without you reloading anything. If the page is one we cannot read, the link goes to us to look at, so the gap gets closed rather than forgotten.

Postings added this way behave like any other: they are searchable, they get the same AI enrichment, and they close when the vacancy does.
