Financial Management Analyst

About the Position: This position supports the mission of the J-8, Financial Operations Directorate and is located in Fort Sam Houston, Texas. - A relocation incentive may be authorized. - Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. - Leave accrual negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to the Federal service.

Formulate, implement, administer, review and evaluate accounting policy for financial management and accounting operations.

Evaluate Defense Finance and Accounting System (DFAS), DHA DCFM, and supporting agency accounting policies and procedures to identify potential audit deficiencies.

Present briefings and report as required in support of financial assertion efforts.

Assist with implementing the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) accounting system and follow on accounting systems as required.

Provide financial administration to improve the quality of financial data over appropriated accounting and financial reporting operations.
