Procurement Technician

This position is located in the Procurement Office of the Administration Division within the National Park Service and performs a full range of procurement technician duties, including but not limited to, providing acquisition support for awards, modifications, interagency agreements and/or various complex/non-standard contract related support functions and serves as a senior Procurement Technician.

Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: The position provides support by preparing and documenting contract awards, modifications, and other complex procurement functions. Reviews purchase requests and coordinates and tracks timely movement of requisition documents through the purchase phase. Prepares the solicitation packages and provides supporting documentation for contract actions. Monitors performance and resolves payment issues when necessary. Receives and reviews payment requests and reviews for acceptance and/or rejection. Physical Demands: The work is primarily sedentary, but may require some physical effort, such as standing, walking, bending, or sitting. There are no special physical demands. Working Environment: The incumbent works in an office setting. Normal safety precautions are required. Area Information: Ozark National Scenic Riverways is located in the southeastern portion of the state of Missouri on the Current and Jacks Fork Rivers. The duty station for this position is Headquarters, Van Buren, Missouri. Limited shopping, medical and dental are available. For more shopping, medical, dental and entertainment Poplar Bluff, Missouri is approximately 40 miles south of Van Buren. Summers are hot and humid and winters are normally mild. In determining if your employment advances the public interest, the agency will consider: your performance and conduct; the needs and interests of the agency; whether your continued employment would advance organizational goals of the agency or the Government; and whether your continued employment would advance the efficiency of the Federal service. Under applicable law, the employment of an individual serving a probationary or trial period automatically terminates when that period ends unless the agency affirmatively certifies, in writing, that the individual's employment should continue and that their appointment should be finalized. In the absence of agency action to affirmatively certify continued employment beyond the probationary or trial period, such appointments are terminated. Upon completion of your supervisory probationary your employment will be terminated unless you receive certification, in writing, that your continued employment advances the public interest.
