Manages, directs, and executes the team's pricing programs, including early acquisition engagement, cost/price analysis, proposal evaluation, and negotiation support while operating strict internal controls to prevent waste and ensure compliance.

Applies pricing principles, methods, techniques, and procedures to ensure quality work products and fair and equitable pricing.

Participate in negotiations with the contractor involving rates, technical requirements, and settlement of costs/price.

Interacts with other managers and supervisors as well as with contractor officials to identify, coordinate and resolve issues crossing organizational lines

Refers to contracts and contracting laws, Federal and Defense regulations and policies to assist subordinates in evaluating proposals received and to structure and recommend negotiation objectives that provide efficient contract performance.

Applies knowledge of business and industry principles and practices sufficient to oversee personnel who analyze, evaluate, and participate in the negotiation of various cost elements for complex cost proposals.

Directs the unit by planning work, setting priorities, preparing schedules, evaluating performance, identifying training needs, making personnel selections, and resolving employee grievances.
